New installation in collaboration with visual artist Mark Joyce at VISUAL Carlow. The work for glass, coloured vinyl panels and distributed sound is inspired by the work of the 19th century Carlow polymath John Tyndall (1820-1893). This remarkable nineteenth-century Irish physicist, early alpinist, progressive public intellectual and science educator was a founder of atmospheric science, and is best remembered for explaining why the sky is blue.
